TOUR PROGRAMME
Day 1 - Arrival to Minsk, transfer to the hotel, receiving of an information sheet, map of Minsk. Buffet breakfast. MINSK SIGHTSEEING TOUR (3 hours). During the excursion you will learn about the past and the present of the city. The Principality of Polotsk, the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the Russian Empire, The Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic and the Republic of Belarus - that is the way that Minsk has passed during its life. You will see the most valuable architectural monuments of the city: Cathedral Orthodox and Catholic Churches of the ХVII-XVIII centuries (Organ Concert); St. Peter and St. Paul's Church of the beginning of ХVII century and the "Red" Church; the oldest street Nemiga which started its way from the Minsk castle, and the picturesque Upper Town. The historic centre of Minsk - the Upper Town - attracts the visitors with its unique atmosphere of the past which is felt in its old buildings and on its narrow streets where museums, cafes and restaurants, boutiques and sculptures are located. Magnificent architectural ensembles of the main squares and avenues of the city, monumental constructivist public buildings, parks and public gardens will burst upon your eyes. The tragedy of the citizens in the years of the World War II; modern Minsk of the ХХ-ХХI centuries - these points will also be in the picture of the excursion. Walking down the TRINITY SUBURB you will see different museums, cafes, taverns and gift shops. LUNCH at the restaurant in the centre of Minsk. Free time from 14.00, overnight stay in Minsk.

Day 2 - Drive to PINSK. On the way to Pinsk you will have a chance to learn the history of numerous towns and see the scenic beauty of Belarusian Polesye. Arrival to Pinsk, check-in at the centrally located hotel "Pripyat'". LUNCH. Pinsk sightseeing tour. Pinsk was first mentioned in 1097, its central part is formed by stone structures built in 17-18 centuries - Franciscan monastery, exquisitely decorated Cathedral church with its magnificent organ, Jesuitical collegium, Butrimovich Palace. The Archangel Michael Church in Caroline suburb reminds us about the settlement of Bernardians of th 18th century. We may see grisaille technique frescos inside the church. In the middle of the 18th century the catholic order of monks communists existed in the neighbourhood of Bernardians. The only headquarter of this unique order in Grand Duchy of Lithuania was located in Pinsk (Carl Barameush Church). You will also have a chance to see the buildings of Dominican and Carmelite monasteries, the Town hall. Free time. Overnight stay in Pinsk.

Day 3 - Buffet breakfast, check-out, drive to Motol. Motol sightseeing tour. Motol is a small "agro-town" located in the central part of Polesye. Its history began almost six centuries ago. Motol turned into a trade centre after it was given Magdeburg Law by Bona Sforza (Queen of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth) in 1533. Motol is the native town of the first President of Israel - Chaim Weizmann. His family lived here until 1894 (their house remained there). Motol is also considered to be culinary centre of Polesye. Motol Folk museum's exhibition shows the history of arts, weaving, clothing, and national traditions. There is a windmill nearby where the Museum of bread is situated. Excursion to the museum, concert program "Live sound", tasting "Motol delicacies" (meat dishes) - all this will help to feel the real atmosphere of Polesye. Shopping at "Fresh bread" shop and butcher's. Drive to Kobrin. LUNCH. Kobrin sightseeing tour. Kobrin, which was first mentioned in 1287, is an example of a typical medieval Belarusian settlement having a market-place, streets stretching from it and buildings of th 18-19th centuries. You will have a chance to see Catholic Uspensky church, the Orthodox church of Alexander Nevsky, Protestant evangelistic church and Judaic synagogue. Visit to Suvorov museum of the 18th century. During the excursion you will also see the old park, cemetery of Polish soldiers, post house and the old shopping arcade… Drive to Minsk.
